Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Hosts a “Fall Festival”
for Pediatric Cancer Patients on Sunday Afternoon

WHO:            The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund is hosting an afternoon of fall themed activities and games for pediatric cancer patients and their families on Sunday.  The agency provides financial and emotional support for local Jacksonville area families of children who are undergoing cancer treatment.

WHAT:            An afternoon party at Adventure Landing, complete with a pizza and an ice cream sundae bar, a costume parade, face painting, fall crafts, story telling and an afternoon of fun in the game room.

WHERE:            Adventure Landing,
             1944 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach

WHEN:              Sunday, October 15th
                        3:00 – 5:00 p.m.

WHY:            Pediatric cancer patients and their families can feel alone in their battle, like there is no end to the hospital visits and sometimes grueling treatments needed to beat the disease.  The “Fall Festival” is an afternoon for the children to have fun just like every other child in our community does.  We hope the will be able to forget about being sick for a few hours.  It also provides an opportunity for parents and other family members to share experiences and support one another in a relaxed environment.

* This event is not a fundraiser and is free to the families.  The public at large is not invited.

PHOTO OPPS: The children will enjoy the party from 3:00 – 5:00, and then they will have access to Adventure Landing for games and rides.  Media are welcome and encouraged to attend to talk with families about how the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund has helped in their time of need.
