JACKSONVILLE, FL, - The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic will take place on May 4th and 5th, 2008. One of the First Coast's premier golf fundraising events, the Celebrity Golf Classic raises funds for families who have a child battling cancer. Over thirty exciting celebrity guests will join Coughlin at the affair including team members of the Superbowl XLII Champion New York Giants, four other current or former NFL Head Coaches, media and football stars. Acosta Sales and Marketing is the Lead Sponsor of the event which begins on Sunday evening, May 4th at the Ponte Vedra Inn with a dinner and auction. Monday morning, On the morning of Monday, May 5th 155 golfers will tee off at Marsh Landing Country Club.

Thanks to this group we have been able to provide over $2 million in assistance to families who need it." Tom Coughlin started the Jay Fund in 1996. The foundation is named in honor of Jay McGillis. Jay was a special young man who played football for Coughlin at Boston College. Through exceptional adversity and ultimate tragedy brought about by his fatal illness, Jay and his family set an example of courage and dignity that would forever leave its mark on all those who knew him. The mission of the Jay Fund is to assist children with leukemia and other cancers and their families by providing emotional and financial support to help reduce the stress associated with treatment and improve their quality of life.
