WINE TASTING GALA
THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE FLORIDA THEATRE
JACKSONVILLE, FL March 18th, 2005-
The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation has a limited number of tickets remaining for Friday’s Wine Tasting Gala. This first class event is March 18th from 6-9pm at the Florida Theatre. Tickets for the dressy casual affair are going fast. They are available at the Florida Theatre Box Office (128 E Forsyth Street) in downtown Jacksonville and can be purchased in person or by calling 904-355-ARTS. The price is $60.
All funds raised will support the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, which assists local families who have a child suffering from leukemia or cancer. “This will be a great opportunity for the community to share a love of wines and show support for families fighting the battle with childhood cancer,” said Tom Coughlin, president of the Jay Fund. Coughlin who established the Jay Fund in 1996 is committed to maintaining the fund in Jacksonville to help area families.
The evening will feature an exceptional collection of over 100 wines from top vineyards all over the world. The wine enthusiast will be treated to a truly special selection. Many of the area’s best restaurants will be serving specialty dishes to accompany the wine.
A silent auction will be part of the entertainment. Items up for bid include two weekly passes to the Masters in Augusta, GA, two court-level box seats for the US Open Tennis Championship in New York, a Champagne Yacht Cruise on the St. John’s River for 12, wine items, wellness packages, and signed sports memorabilia.
Coughlin will host celebrity guests at the event including Gator Football Coach, Urban Meyer and ABC’s “The Bachelor” and NY Giants quarterback, Jesse Palmer.
The evening promises to be an enjoyable way for the community to support this cause. If the event does not sell out prior to Friday night the remaining tickets will be available at the door for $70.
