TOM COUGHLIN’S 4th ANNUAL GALA
RAISES OVER $700,000 FOR JAY FUND

“Champions For Children” at Cipriani’s featured Eli Manning, Amani Toomer, Mathias Kiwanuka, Brandon Jacobs, Justin Tuck

New York, NY (September 16, 2008) Super Bowl XLII Champion New York Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin’s win streak continued off the field as well last weekend when his fourth annual “Champions for Children” Gala raised more than $700,000 for Coughlin’s Jay Fund Foundation, which provides financial assistance to families of children with cancer.

A multitude of Giant players, including Eli Manning, Justin Tuck, Amani Toomer, Mathias Kiwanuka, Brandon Jacobs, Antonio Pierce, Jeff Feagles and Sam Madison, among others, were on hand to walk the red carpet, host tables, and mingle with fans. The event also featured a silent auction, dinner and awards ceremony which honored New York Giants co-owners Ann T. Mara and Joan H. Tisch for their philanthropic endeavors.

Former Giants Harry Carson, Brian Kelley and Chuck Mercein were also on hand.
Since it’s inception in 2005, the event has raised more than $2 million for The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, which was created in honor of Jay McGillis, a member of the Boston College football team who developed leukemia while a member of the team.
Following the gala, the Giants traveled to St. Louis where they defeated the Rams, 41-13. The Super Bowl XLII Champion Giants are 2-0 on the season. They will face the Cincinnati Bengals at Giants Stadium Sunday afternoon.
