TOM COUGHLIN JAY FUND FOUNDATION
GRANT DISTRIBUTION GUIDELINES:

Support is provided in the following ways:

Providing direct financial assistance for household expenses and illness related expenses that families incur during the course of treatment for childhood cancer.

Providing opportunities to improve the quality of life and long term outlook of these patients and their families through support of special projects and programming.

Providing assistance with funding for umbilical cord blood transplants.

The target population is children and young adults, ages 0-22 years old, which are currently undergoing treatment.

The child must be a permanent resident of one of the following:

  • North Florida - Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam St. Johns, or Union Counties
  • South Georgia - Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Glynn or Ware Counties
  • The five boroughs of New York City (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens & Staten Island)
  • New Jersey - Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passiac, or Union Counties

The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund's financial assistance for household expenses is provided on a temporary basis for families who find themselves in financial difficulty as a result of their child's cancer. All financial assistance is determined on a case-by-case basis based on the needs of the child and family. NEW YORK/NEW JERSEY AREA
GRANT DISTRIBUTION GUIDELINES:

Grants provided to families for household expenses are paid directly to the vendor through our partnership with Friends of Karen. Friends of Karen is a foundation dedicated to providing emotional, financial and advocacy support to families with children facing life-threatening diseases, and has been doing so for the last twenty-five years.
